Stress and Anxiety Relief with a Massage Chair

Stress is a response to stimuli from your environment. It comes from your perception that something is causing change to the status quo. Put another way, stress causes changes in your body that are physical and psychological. The effects of stress can vary by situation and by individual. Massage chairs are effective in providing relief to the aches, pains and the tension caused by stress and anxiety.

Unfortunately, our advanced intelligence enables us to often spend too much time ruminating over situations or life experiences that help to increase our stress and anxiety. We may be caught up in perceived situations or problems and cannot find immediate solutions to them.

One major area causing stress and anxiety stems from our relationships. The trials and tribulations of getting along with others sets off many physiological issues. Sometimes we put ourselves into bad situations and sometimes others put us in them. Either way we perceive these situations as difficult which causes an increase in stress and anxiety.

Our bodies have a pretty standard reaction to the environment. It is either fight or flight. To facilitate this reaction, the body automatically releases hormones like glucocorticoids and adrenalin. The purpose of releasing these hormones is to prepare the body for fighting or running. These hormones provide extra energy by increasing the heart rate and blood flow. Your body is reacting the same as when we lived in caves and had immediate danger. Unfortunately, modern day stress is mostly our perceptions and inability to solve a problem immediately.

There are also psychological effects produced by stress and anxiety. Some psychological effects are immune system suppression. With your immune system suppressed, you become more susceptible to getting sick or becoming infected. It has also been linked to erectile dysfunction or ED in men and can also disrupt the menstural cycle in women. In situations where stress is chronic, this can impact the brain and impair normal learning, memory and judgment. It is obvious, certain functions of the body do not work well under stress.

Physical effects of stress and anxiety include muscle stiffness and tightness. This can especially affect the back, shoulders and neck. These areas tend to carry the stress and cause pain in discomfort. Many people will have knots in their back or shoulder areas from the tightness associated with stress and anxiety.

To effectively relieve the stress built up in the body, massage chairs perform a number of massage therapies. A massage chair has massages designed to apply traction, elongate muscles, penetrate the muscle and stimulate acupressure points. All of these can be targeted as well to areas such as the lower back or shoulders. Massage chairs work that area until it provides you the relief you need.

The flexibility of your muscles need to be restored when you are under stress or suffering from anxiety. The muscles are tight from the stress. They need to be soothed and stretched. The stretching can sometimes become painful, if the muscles have been taut for a long time. As flexibility is restored, then the discomfort goes away and the fatigue ends.

If you get caught up with frequent stress and anxiety, let a massage chair melt your worries away. More people are complaining about stress and anxiety with all the changes happening in the world today. Massage chairs are an excellent method to provide periodic relief from stress and anxiety.

Stress and anxiety seem to be with us in the modern age. Our challenge is to find a consistent means to release the effects of stress and anxiety. Massage chairs provide the most convenient method of relief as it builds up. Periodic relief from massage chairs help to balance out the incoming source of stress with an outlet for the stress.

How to Choose the Best Diet

The best diet that you can pick out is one that works for you and your journey to lose the weight you desire to lose. As you search for the best diet I want you to think of something that is so important to your complete success in your attempt to lose the weight.

If you lose 100 pounds you are never really a complete success, you are a recovering obese person. If you drop the pounds you want to shed you are never really done unless you can keep the weight off for the rest of your life. If you lose the weight and then gain it all back you are not a success, you have become a dismal failure in your weight loss journey.

As we begin this discussion as to what is the best diet you can choose to lose weight, you must include in your choice your ability to keep the weight off for the rest of your life. If you do not keep the weight off it does not matter how much weight you lost if you gain it all back again.

An excellent example of failed weight loss attempts comes from the Atkin’s Diet. This diet promised so much to so many and it did deliver weight loss to the masses. The problem with the Atkin’s Diet is that most people were/are unable to eat only what is needed to maintain Atkin’s. The issue developed that after people lost all of the weight they stumbled back into carbohydrates and then gained more weight than they in the beginning lost.

Those who were a success turned into a failure because they were not able to maintain the weight loss. As you search for the best diet you must take into account that there will be life after the “diet” is ended.

A less severe option to Atkin’s is The South Beach Diet. If you are really attracted to the carb free lifestyle then it is suggested that you bypass Atkins’ and try The South Beach Diet. The South Beach Diet is much easier to continue on after you have lost the weight you want to shed.

Cover Up Stretch Marks and Live With It

When it comes to techniques on how to cover stretch marks, you have option. One of them is to stop wearing revealing clothes which includes miniskirts, low-cut blouses and bikinis. Although this is not a very appealing option for most women, they may have to resort to wearing pencil cut skirts, full neck blouses and hip length shirts.

Of course, you will have to take into account those instances where you may have to wear skimpy clothing or swimwear. A stretch mark cream or a cover-up make-up would be more appropriate then in concealing those unsightly lines.

While some individuals who have nothing better to do believe that stretch marks are worth taking time over in trying to conceal them, there is also the majority of the human population with trains and buses to catch and work to rush and who believe that there are more important tasks to accomplish other than hiding stretch marks. Fortunately for these individuals, there are other better alternatives.

Microdermabrasion, laser therapy and surgically removing stretch marks are the other, more expensive alternatives. However, since these procedure require a series of sessions and are expensive – not to mention risky – not everyone are sold out with these alternatives.

Another option would be the natural way. There are several remedies posted online that may work for skin streaks. Natural extracts and substances such as cocoa butter, squalene oil and vitamin E oil can be applied directly on the skin. These substances can penetrate to the second layer where they can moisturize the tissues and regenerate skin cells.

The only problem with finding natural remedies is that different individuals have different ways of using them. If you want clear standards and recommendations for natural ingredient use, you can opt for a natural product instead. Reputable natural products contain the same nourishing natural ingredients. Reputable manufacturers would make sure that mixtures are done right and that only the safest and choicest ingredients make the cut.

You dont ever have to cover up stretch marks. If you feel you dont want to live with them for the rest of your life, you can explore possible solutions. Take a good look at what you can do before deciding to give up and settle for a cover up.
