The Lemonade Diet or Master Cleanse Diet or master cleanse diet, is a relatively simple process that is said to detoxify the body. Many claim that it also helps with weight loss. It has gained popularity recently thanks to celebrities like Beyonce. She claims that the lemonade diet helped her lose 20 pounds of fat. Just remember, this diet is not a pleasant process. However, if you still wish to try it, here are the steps.
The first part of the lemonade diet is designed to wean you off of processed food and meats. On day one you will eliminate the aforementioned foods and eat only fruits and vegetables. On day two you will drink only fresh squeezed fruit and vegetable juice. Then on day three you will drink two liters of orange juice. You’re also allowed a two liters of water with a table spoon of maple syrup for energy.
The main part of the diet is known as the lemonade diet. To succeed with this it is important to remember even though it is challenging, if you follow the instructions and prepare your meals first thing in the morning, it will go smoother.
Your recipe for the Lemonade Diet
14 Tbsp. of hand squeezed lemon juice, three 1-liter reusable bottles, 14 Tbsp. of maple syrup, 1/4 tsp. of Cayenne Pepper, and two liters of water. Place seven tablespoons of the lemon juice into a 1-liter bottle and repeat with a second bottle. Repeat this process with the maple syrup, add cayenne pepper and fill it with water. Fill your last bottle full of water and drink it all day
The 2nd step of the lemonade diet entails drinking the lemonade and water all day long. When you feel hungry drink lemonade and follow it with several sips of purified water. You must drink the entire two liters of lemonade by the end of the day.
The most challenging part of the master cleanse is the 3rd part. This part is known as the salt water flush. You’re going to drink salt water until you induce bowel movements. This will flush your colon. Mix 1-liter of room temperature water with a tsp. of sea salt. Try and drink the entire mixture as fast as possible. most lemonade dieters can do it in one gulp. After drinking the salt water, continue about your day until a bowel movement occurs. This usually happens within 1-hr. of drinking the salt water. Your best bet is to do this at night because you will be “going” for awhile. When you can go for 15-min. without eliminating, you will be safe.
The time frame for which people stay on the lemonade diet depends; most lemonade dieters do it for as little as three days while others can go up to two weeks. Whenever going on such a diet always consult with your physician if you have prior medical conditions. The ease-out steps are an essential process to prepare your body for regular food again. It is critical that you change your eating habits afterwards and it’s important to remember that this diet, like all diets, will slow metabolism. That’s right. You will be losing muscle during this diet and muscle is your metabolic engine.
If you started the diet with a 200 horsepower engine, you will finish the lemon aid diet with a smaller engine. The longer you stay on it the smaller your engine will be. So don’t do this for weight loss. If you choose to go on this diet, do it to flush your colon, not as an attempt to lose fat.
Ease back into eating food:
First day drink three one liter bottles of orange juice with two tablespoons of maple syrup in each.
On the 2nd day drink fruit and vegetable juice.
On the third day re-introduce your body to fresh fruits and vegetables.
On the 4th day eat anything, focus on non-processed, organic products.
Very important, the ease-out process is essential so you don’t become faint and sick.

The treadmill has been the generic method of exercising in the gym for many years. That fact is now crumbling, as the elliptical trainer is quickly becoming the more popular option. As it turns out, they are safer and more efficient- and the science behind them is simple to understand.
When you take up running as a hobby, you have to learn how to run and under what posture. Otherwise the method of running could ruin key areas of your body such as the ankle or knee. Even with all the precaution in the world, the shock damage you receive each time your foot slams on the ground will add to the wear and tear of your lower body. Elliptical machines are better, as your feet never leave the pedal.
Going about the process of strength training requires good nutrition and the workout of a certain muscle through repetition. Although an elliptical machine does provide repetition, it doesn’t provide a great deal of resistance. As such, elliptical machines aren’t a good choice for strength training. They excel primarily in cardiovascular workouts, losing weight, and building lean muscle.

Such machines will have settings that allow you alter things such as speed, incline, and stride length. Alter these regularly to target different areas of your lower and upper body. Targeting a specific area is fine, however, if you truly need to target a problem area.
As stated earlier, posture is important. An elliptical trainer isn’t just good for removing shock impact, but rather promoting good posture. Walking and jogging with an elliptical trainer will guide your feet and lower body to conform to a new way of moving about. If your posture was previously needing improvement, you will see that through time your posture gradually gets better through constant usage of the machine. Balance, too, has been known to increase as a result of such training.
Elliptical machines can be inexpensive if you find a good home model. Stay away from commercial models that are built to withstand years of constant abuse day in and day out- odds are you won’t need that sturdy of a model and the price difference is going to be drastic. From several hundred dollars up to a few thousand, your choices are plentiful enough that you can get exactly what you need.
Final Thoughts
Don’t put your body through the stress of running- you will start to feel the effects in only several years. Instead decrease the burden on your body and look into buying an elliptical machine. If that isn’t possible, look into a local gym membership.

Stretch marks aren’t harmful, but they can be embarrassing and a pain to deal with. Most women will get them at least once in their lives, and stretch marks can be caused by a lot of things- like gaining weight suddenly, getting pregnant, or not having enough moisture in your skin and the air around you.
Stretch marks happen when the top layer of skin gets a series of microscopic tears in it, and as it heals it is left with a wrinkled and misshapen appearance. While they often subside over time, some do not go away at all. They can be prevented by not gaining weight suddenly, and adopting a good skin care routine, but some people are forced to get surgery to correct them.
Other things that are thought to cause stretch marks are yo-yo dieting, dry skin, and lackluster nutrition. These things can cause the collagen and elastin within your skin to break down, leading to stretch marks. Here are some ways to prevent them:
Regular exercise is beneficial not only to your skin, but to your entire body. It increases circulation all over, keeping your skin replenished and supple. Also, a good “sweat session” will flush all those toxins and dead skin cells out of your pores, stimulating your skin’s natural renewal.

If you think you are gaining weight, the best thing to keep in mind is to shed more fat than what you take in. What you would need in such case would be treadmill workouts for weight loss programs. It’s not painful and it’s effective.
The best weight loss program equation would be that the calories gained must be less than or equal to the calories shed. This means, you are not only required to exercise. You are also advised to stay on a healthy diet.
Treadmill workouts for weight loss rely greatly on gradual speed increase. It also requires you to include increasing the inclination of your treadmill. The goal is to help you burn more calories and build stamina.
The trick here is to change your speed at a steady interval every 15 seconds. Here’s how to make this program work (it is highly recommended that you try this out).
A 5-Minute Warm Up
1. Set your speed at 3 or 4 mph. 2. Walk to about 5 minutes. 3. Gradually increase the inclination of your running surface area from zero to 1%.
Variation 1 – The 2 minute run
- Start your speed at 5 mph. – Run at an inclination of 2%. – After every 15 seconds, increase your speed until you reach 5.7 mph. – While increasing the speed, increase the inclination at 1% every 15 seconds until you hit the 5% slope.
Variation 2 – Decreasing speed
- At 5.7 mph, increase the inclination to 6% and continue running – Start decreasing the speed every 15 seconds until you’re back at 5 mph – At the same time, reduce the slope every 15 seconds until you’re back at 2% – Do this for 3 minutes
Variation 3 – Jogging or Brisk Walking
- Every 15 seconds, change the speed from 4.5 mph to 5.0 mph and back – Continue this speed change cycle for 5 minutes – At the same time, decrease the slope to zero level (0% inclination)
You may try this one basic procedure of treadmill workouts at varying speed against the time intervals. Make sure you have a steady increment of 1 per unit.
After trying the various speeds, make sure you don’t stop right away. Allow some five minutes of decelerated running. This is actually the process when you need to cool your muscles down.
The 5 minute Cool Down
- Start from the last speed and inclination – Gradually decrease the speed at 1 increment every 15 seconds – Gradually decrease slope at 1 increment every 15 seconds – When you reach the zero inclination level continue walking – When you reach the zero inclination level, your speed should be 3 mph – After 5 minutes, stop
Do this treadmill workouts for weightloss program regularly in order to get the results that you want. It is also recommended that you try doing it for 45 minutes. If not, just take it slowly – start at 15 minutes a day until you reach the 45 minute mark. Eventually you’ll get it.
