If you have that extra room in your home and you don’t know what to do with it then consider turning it into a gym. There are several reasons why you want to have a home gym. Being at home is a positive way to lose weight and tone up.
If the work out room has a balcony or terrace you will want to place your stationary bike there. The view will be wonderful while you are riding. This is a great motivation because you can picture yourself being anywhere in the world on a bike. Your goal may be to tone up or lose weight but you can make it happen today.
Placing mirrors on one entire wall is also a good idea for several reasons. You can see your progress and you can make sure you are doing an exercise properly, and more. You want to make sure that at least one area of the gym is carpeted. If you don’t have carpeting you can place an area rug down for support. If you do have carpeting you can still add an area rug down for added support. This will be great for floor exercises.
You will need to designate one are in the room for racks that you can place your towels on, dumb bells, or even weights. You will also need a place for music. This can help you keep motivated and keep going. You will need to add a set of scales somewhere in the room and maybe a small apartment size refrigerator for bottled water and juice.
Remember that you want this room strictly for working out. This will help you create the new you. The time you spend in this room will be anywhere from thirty minutes to one hour every day, seven days a week. You are going to need some inspiration hanging on the wall. Place your goal, whether it be dress, a vacation, a class reunion, etc., on the wall so you will be able to see your goal everyday and it will be inspiring.
A chart and a calendar are also good items to have available to help you keep track of your progress as you work towards that goal. A dry erase board that can be made into a calendar and a chart, so that you can erase and change the dates or keep a count down going, is an awesome way to keep things in perspective.
No matter how you choose to decorate your workout room, make sure you include a soft rug on the floor and use all the natural lighting available. Make the space comfortable and inviting and you will reach your fitness goals in no time at all.

3. Hydrate. If you are breast feeding, it is extra important to drink plenty of fluids. Drinking plenty of water will also cleanse your system as it aids in digestion and helps your body get rid of toxins. Regular bathroom trips and a clean system are very useful for post-pregnancy weight loss!
4. Ease back into exercise. Any mom should also take some time off from baby-duty. We all need to take care of ourselves so we can take good care of our babies! A good way to spend mommy-time is by doing some light to moderate exercise. A daily walk can be done by practically anyone. A light dance class or a light cardio class in the gym could work as well. Of course, check with your doctor first to see if you have the go-signal to start doing all this after giving birth.
5. Bond with your baby. Just choosing bonding activities that involve some action can help you burn calories – and lose some of that stubborn baby weight. Taking the bay to walks in the park burns calories. So do some mommy-and-baby yoga classes. Bond and burn!
Post-pregnancy weight loss is totally doable. Having the baby is no excuse for you to keep those extra pounds on. Many have lost weight after giving birth. You can too!
