Type 2 diabetes is a serious health problem and becoming more so in the U.S. Also known as “adult” diabetes because it used to appear as people became middle-aged or older. It’s also much more prevalent among African-Americans and persons of Asian descent.

Type 2 diabetes symptoms are almost imperceptible. You really need to have a blood test taken to determine the level of blood sugar in your system. Often times people who finally are diagnosed with diabetes have already had it for five years or more.
