It is most effective if this calorie shortage comes from your diet and not countless of hours on the treadmill.

2. A regular exercise program. While the bulk of your weight loss will come from your weight loss diet, you would do well to take up exercise as well. Exercise gives you a whole lot of health benefits, decreases your chances of getting all sorts of illnesses and it increases your metabolism.

3. You need to get plenty of rest. If you don’t get plenty of rest, your body will be unable to recover from your diet and exercise program. It can be real heavy on your body and it needs its time to recover. You can feel it if you’re not well rested. Your body doesn’t function the way it should. So hit the sack early!

These are the things you need to know if you are to have any chance of success at losing weight. Some people are afraid they can’t do it, so they smuggle a few bits of comfort foods into their diets. Naturally, these are things like chocolate chip cookies and that sort of stuff. Don’t ever do this. You are sabotaging your own weight loss success.

If you do it the right way and stick to all three, you can expect to see real weight loss in less than a week. If you keep this up for a number of weeks in a row, your waist will shrink several inches without a doubt. But that’s only if you incorporate all three in your weight loss plan! Not just the diet, but also the exercise!

Thanks to exercises, you will be able to get much better results than you would have achieved if you hadn’t done the exercises. Weight lifting is especially helpful for you to hold on to your muscle tissue when you are losing weight. After all, you want your weight loss to come from your fat reserves, not your muscles. Keep it up and you will have great weight loss success!
