The eyes have the potential to be one of the most striking features you have to offer. If you take the time to put on a little makeup, you can really make them stand out. There are a few eye makeup tips that will help anyone achieve a great look.
One of the biggest mistakes people make when applying eye makeup is to use the wrong type of brush. It might be obvious that you don’t want to use a blush brush to apply your eye shadow, but there are a lot of other ways that brushes can keep you from achieving your best look. If the brush isnt good quality, then it wont apply your makeup as evenly with a consistent look.
You want your shadow colors to blend well and the right brush can help make this happen. Start with a base brush to apply your base color. Then, use a contour brush to apply the shadow accents. You’ll want to return to the base brush, or if you have one use a blending brush, to lightly blend the colors together.
Another brush I love is a liner brush. The brush has a diagonal angle to it so you can use it to apply a darker shadow as an eye liner. Depending on how you hold the brush, you can apply the liner as thin or as thick as you want. I find that my eye liner stays on for a very long time with this method, especially if I have used a concealer under my eye makeup.
A concealer can actually be very important to your overall look. Have you ever bought an eye shadow that look pretty in the case, but when you put it on, it just didn’t look right? Concealers can help with this. They give your eye lid a more uniform color allow your shadow choices to be more vibrant. The right concealer will also help hold your eye makeup in place a lot longer which is always a good thing for those of us who have long days ahead of us.
For the final tip, always remember mascara if you want to make your eyes pop. You might want to even consider some eyelash extensions under the mascara. The darker lashes will help enrich your natural eye color and the length of the lashes will help to open up your eyes as much as a possible so people will be able to see your natural beauty.
You never want to neglect your eyes; they just might be one of your best features. By implementing any of these basic eye makeup tips, you can help your eyes look their beautiful best.
